This summer Matthew Gibbs, one of our Associate Directors, celebrates 20 years with the practice.

Matt first joined us as a senior architect. Since then he has worked in several sectors, with a particular focus on residential and education projects. His work ranges from Midhurst Rother Academy in the South Downs National Park to Stapleton House in Islington, a ten-storey student accommodation building for UNITE and London Metropolitan University.

In recent years he has led the planning proposals for two large-scale schemes, Blackhorse Road in Waltham Forest and Mercury Point in Southampton, each with its own set of technical constraints.

Matt's contribution goes beyond individual projects. He is part of our technical group, coordinates our CPD programme and sits on the Test Valley Design Review Panel. Clients, local authorities and design teams value his technical knowledge and organisation, and the strong working relationships he builds have been a real asset to our team.
